Musician successfully achieves child support modification

In his popular song "Beautiful Boy," John Lennon sings the following statement: "Life is what happens to you while you are making other plans." This sentiment probably rings true for many Georgia residents. Unexpected life changes and surprising occurrences pop up without warning, leaving individuals struggling to accommodate new circumstances.

Life can sometimes even get in the way of fulfilling personal and financial responsibilities. When parents lose their jobs or are forced to move for work, their child support and custody agreements can become defunct. Many other situations can arise that force parents to reevaluate how they financially support their children. They may require the assistance of family law attorneys to help them execute child custody and child support modifications.

A popular figure in the music industry recently settled a contentious child support matter with his former partner. Future, whose real name is Nayvadius Cash, agreed to drastically increase his child support payments in exchange for the agreement of his son's mother to move to a location with good schools. Their child is 11-years-old and will now be receiving around $2,000 per month from his father to cover the costs of his upbringing.

During the same negotiations Future and the child's mother also agreed to modify where the child will spend his holidays. While it may not seem like such decisions would make a big difference to a family, details such as holiday custody can become unfortunate arguments when parents cannot decide how to split time with their kids. Refining child custody and support agreements through modifications can make it easier for kids to split time between their parents' homes.

Whether a parent is a famous musical artist or an everyday business person he has the ability to improve the child support and custody agreements he executed with his former partner. Georgia law can impact how and when these modifications are made. Individuals who want to learn more about such family law matters can gain helpful knowledge from experts in the child custody and support legal fields.
